KRS backwaters, Mysore, Karnataka

The journey from Mysore to the Sri Venugopala Swamy temple on the banks of the KRS backwaters was a challenging one owing to the difficult terrain and long distance (over 40 km in total) that accompanied it. The 700-year old stone temple is a site to behold and seems even more fantastic after a tough journey. The water level was considerably high thanks to the abundant rainfall over the past few months. I highly recommend cycling to this wonderful destination.
